Women's Relax and Ride Retreats
Do
you and your girlfriends like to get away for the weekend for some great
trail riding? Do you often find the trail selection and accommodations less
than desirable? If so, you need to check out the relax and ride women’s
retreats at the Craft Farm. All the same great amenities and meals we offer
for our other women’s retreats plus overnight facilities for your
horse. There is a great selection (64 miles) of bridle trails within 30
minutes of the farm. The closest trail is right across the road in the Perry
State Forest! Ride all day and relax all night at the Craft Farm as we attend
to all your needs. You can even bring your scrapbooking, beading, quilting
or other crafts and make it an extra special getaway.
Here is what we provide for your Relax and Ride Retreat:
- Two nights accommodations
- 5 meals, snacks, and drinks (we’ll even pack a trail lunch for you)
- Access to all our facilities including the activity room, hot tub and relaxation rooms
- Maps and directions to all of the bridle trails in our area.
- Overnight, indoor secure facilities for your horse (no stable fee!)
- Plenty of parking for your truck and trailer
- Water, bedding, and equipment to attend to your horse during your stay
- Final cleanout of your stall after you depart
- Rental horses available if needed
- Access to guided trail rides if needed
- Contact information for local vets and farriers if needed
Here is what you need to bring:
- Your horse (of course!)
- Your own feed, hay, buckets and tack
- Your own personal items
As
with our other women’s retreats, we do not mix gender. However, if you
and your family or friends would like to rent the whole farm for a family
weekend get-away, we would be happy to accommodate you. Visit the reservation

- Perry State Forrest: 8 miles of bridle trails located 3 miles from the Craft Farm
- Stone Church Horse Trail: 21 miles of bridle trails located 22 miles from the Craft Farm
- Taft Reserve: 6 miles of bridle trails located 24 miles from the Craft Farm
- Dillon State Park: 15 miles of bridle trails located 25 miles from the Craft Farm
- Infirmary Mound Park: 6 miles of bridle trails located 31 miles from the Craft farm
- Lobdell Preserve: 8 miles of bridle trails located 38 miles from the Craft Farm
Horses are required to have current vaccinations for influenza, tetanus and encephalomyelitis in addition to a negative Coggins test within the past twelve months. Rabies and West Nile vaccinations are recommended along with the routine shots. Before unloading, guests will provide proof of vaccines and current (one year) Coggins test.
